The Rextude Division produces many custom profile extrusions in all shapes and sizes from very small rigid clips cut to short lengths to large flexible bumpers packaged in very long lengths. We pride ourselves in offering a quick turn around time for initial samples and, once those samples are approved, we make sure that orders are produced in a timely manner with the quality and precision our customers require.

The process of quoting a custom profile starts with the receipt of a print or drawing from our customer. Certain information on the drawing is essential to be able to provide a valid quotation.

For example, we need to know if certain dimensions are more critical than others. This helps us in determining how to design the tooling for this product and can have a bearing on the cost of production.

We also need to know the tolerance on the cut length of the part and whether or not the part needs to be de-burred. If the part is to be mated to another piece, a sample of the main part often helps us determine the most efficient, cost-effective method of production.

Some of our customers have very particular specifications for the material used in the extrusion. Often our customers ask us for material recommendations. The more information we receive with the drawing, the faster we can provide a quote. If we do have questions on a particular drawing, one of our design engineers will contact you.
